At Fritidsbanken, we want to make it easy for everyone to discover the joy of being active, spending time outdoors and trying new activities. Here, you can borrow sports and leisure equipment completely free of charge.
Borrowing instead of buying makes it possible for more people to participate while also contributing to a more sustainable way of enjoying leisure activities. Together, we create more opportunities for activity, community and movement in Piteå!
What can you donate?
Do you have equipment at home that you no longer use? Give it a new life with us!
You can donate items such as:
- Ice skates, skis and ski boots
- Bicycles and other cycling equipment
- Fishing equipment
- Tents, sleeping bags and other camping equipment
- Balls, rackets and other sports equipment
- Circus equipment
- Adaptive sports equipment
- Leisure and recreational aids
Your old equipment could give someone else the opportunity to try something new!
Our donation drop-off points
You can drop off equipment 24/7 at either of our two donation drop-off points:
- At our premises at Fläktgatan 24
- At Breviksberget
If we are at the premises when you stop by, you are more than welcome to come in and say hello!
Important information when donating equipment
To help us handle all donations in a safe, secure and sustainable way, we kindly ask you to always place the equipment inside the donation drop-off point.
Many sports and leisure items are sensitive to rain, moisture and weather conditions. Equipment left outside may therefore be damaged, ruined or disappear before we have a chance to collect it.
We empty the donation drop-off points approximately twice a week. It is therefore important that equipment is placed inside the drop-off point and, if possible, arranged neatly. This makes it easier for us to sort, handle and transport the donated equipment.
