Piteå Municipality’s own public transport solution for attractive and sustainable travel!
Our buses are powered entirely by electricity, making them not only environmentally friendly but also quiet and comfortable to ride. When you step on board, you will experience a smooth and peaceful journey free from disruptive engine noise. The buses move almost silently through the city, contributing to a calmer and more pleasant urban environment.
Purchasing Travel Cards and Tickets
We encourage passengers to purchase tickets in advance using the mobile app. Reducing onboard ticket sales helps make travel smoother and more efficient for everyone. The app provides access to our full range of tickets, allowing you to keep all your travel passes conveniently on your phone.
The app is called “Länstrafiken i Norrbotten” on Google Play and “Nya Länstrafiken Norrbotten” on the App Store.
If you prefer using a travel card, you can order a blue travel card and load it through My Pages at:

The blue travel card can also be purchased at the bus station.
Credit Card / Swish
If you plan to travel with us, please ensure that you have a valid payment method available. If your credit or debit card does not work or has insufficient funds, you can also pay for your journey using Swish through the Länstrafiken app.
