Bach Jazz is back in Piteå!

They visited us during the 2025 Festival and the success was a fact. The band's signature is that they turn pieces by Bach into cohesive songs for piano, double bass and drums. The trio's two albums have quickly become wide favorites and the concerts are praised for their mix of timeless compositions, swing and humanity.

Bach Jazz's debut album in the fall of 2024 set off on a journey no one could have expected. The trio's organic and playful interpretations of Johann Sebastian Bach's eternal music continue to fascinate and attract new listeners. Since 2024, they have played in packed concert halls, cultural centers, jazz clubs and in churches all over the country. Many have made associations with the icon Jan Johansson.

The second album II went straight to number one on the jazz charts in the spring of 2026, when Bach Jazz also played its first concerts outside Scandinavia.

The repertoire ranges from beloved masterpieces to curious experiments. From Goldberg variations to a tender lullaby and perhaps the very first historical evidence of agent jazz.
