A beginner-friendly ceramics course for anyone who wants to explore clay in a creative and enjoyable way.
The course provides a solid foundation in a range of hand-building techniques and is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some previous experience who wish to develop their skills. Whether you're looking for a new hobby or want to deepen your creative practice, this course offers a welcoming and inspiring environment.

What You'll Learn
Throughout the course, you'll be introduced to several classic hand-building techniques, with step-by-step guidance. You'll create your own functional pottery and sculptural pieces while exploring form, function, and personal expression.

Techniques covered include:
- Coil building to create vessels and sculptural forms
- Slab building for plates, mugs, bowls, and other pottery
- Pinch pot techniques for smaller bowls and organic forms
- Surface decoration, texture, and finishing techniques
- Drying and firing processes

The course consists of six sessions, with the final session dedicated to glazing your fired work. You'll learn how to choose and combine glazes while gaining an understanding of how different glazes affect both appearance and durability.

Schedule & Practical Information

Classes are held on Mondays at 5:00 PM, beginning 7 September.
Each session provides plenty of time for individual guidance, experimentation, and creative work in the studio.

Clay is charged separately at SEK 100 per kilogram.

This course is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to learn ceramics from the ground up in a supportive, relaxed, and inspiring studio environment.
