About the event
Ostrobothnian indie pop artist Månskensbonden returns to Kajman this December for an acoustic concert together with guitarist Petter Näse, pianist Daniel Ventus, and cellist Emma Strömbäck-Mård. And, in keeping with the season, there will also be a touch of Finnish Christmas spirit.

With songs unearthed from the soil, Månskensbonden sings about fire-and-brimstone sermons, liberation through music, people falling through the cracks, the middle class's guilty conscience, human loneliness, and trying to overcome that loneliness through love and community.

Månskensbonden broke through in 2015 with the single Döpt i Kyro älv, followed by the debut album 'Vårat Ödeland', named one of the best albums of 2018 by HBL. Since then, Månskensbonden has, among other things, sold out venues in Finland and Sweden with the show Österbottnisk afton, written music for Oravais Teater, and released two more full-length albums. The third album, Svindel och lågtryck, was released in April 2025 and recorded in Umeå with members of, among others, Honungsvägen and Vasas Flora och Fauna.

Quotes about Månskensbonden Unplugged (Åokoppla):

Månskensbonden, pianist Daniel Ventus, cellist Emma Strömbäck-Mård, and guitarist Petter Näse created an acoustic and vibrant concert. Petter Näse switched seemingly effortlessly between drums, guitar, bass, and banjo. Emma Strömbäck-Mård's cello tones blended superbly with Månskensbonden's music. Daniel Ventus's piano playing really comes into its own, especially in Allting faller and Rauhaa ja rakkautta.
