Cinematic choreography in the borderland between light and shadow.

Art of Spectra has made a name for itself for its cinematic aesthetics and intense choreography where dance, music and visual elements merge into a whole that opens up new ways of experiencing contemporary darkness and humanity.

In their new work Shadows, the company, in collaboration with artists from different disciplines, continues to explore the borderland between body and space, precision and impulse.

With its characteristic style – raw, poetic and visually driven – Art of Spectra allows the audience to encounter a place where each individual carries their shadow as external evidence of an inner state.

In Shadows, it is the void between light and darkness that speaks. It is not the light that defines the figure, but the space that the shadow leaves.

The shadows are not just visual – they are emotional and contain what we carry with us. They are what we do not remember, never said or choose to forget. They are bodily memories, identity and belonging.

To meet one's shadow, to listen to the whisper of our deepest self.

The production is part of Dans i Nord's regional tour, Moving Norrbotten, which will reach residents of all 14 municipalities in Norrbotten.
