Day screening with Folketshus, and as usual, we’ll be serving coffee at Röda Lyktan in Småstaden after the film.

Dark drama meets black humour as Alex Schulman makes his directorial debut with Arkipelag, starring Gustaf Skarsgård, Fares Fares and Linus Wahlgren as three fathers who accompany their daughters on a school trip to hell. Stranded with a rowdy middle-school class on an idyllic archipelago island, they are reminded of their own teenage traumas. Just like the teenagers, they soon have to confront how difficult it is to draw the line between play and a dangerous power struggle, and to distinguish between victim and perpetrator.

Arkipelag is Sweden’s entry for this year’s Oscars.
