As always, we invite you to join us for coffee at Röda Lyktan in Småstaden after the film.

SING FOR ME, ARJA! is an intimate portrait of the legendary singer and human rights activist Arja Saijonmaa.

She speaks candidly about her lifelong friendship with the Greek composer and freedom fighter Mikis Theodorakis, and how this relationship shaped both her artistry and her political activism.

With song as her weapon, Arja became an uncompromising voice for peace and democracy. Through private home videos and unique archival footage, the film follows her journey from her childhood in Finland to the world’s great international stages.
